Its how many days now since the incident? And we still have people posting articles to news sites and searching for Sony reps twitter accounts specifically to abuse the CCP/Sony relationship to remove Mittani from the game.
If any of you were concerned with The Wis you would have taken it up privately with CCP and The Wis. By smearing his private life across the public stage you are exposing The Wis to far more abuse then The Mittani and goonswarm EVER did. Sure, Mittani may have already smeared it infront of a FANFEST camera, who's audience is pretty much purely Eve players. But what the rest of you have done is taken it MUCH further. You've now taken it onto every news site, twitter account, and facebook page you can find.
You all say its hurting the game's reputation? You're the ones who smeared it across every news site you could find. CCP would have handled the situation in private where they could show The Wis the dignity he deserved.
You have now started to search for ways to deliberately abuse CCP's industry relationships. If the abuse of the Wis isnt enough, many of you are now in violation of the EULA by deliberately damaging CCP's business in order to further your selfish in-game goals.
Anyone deliberately dragging CCP's name through the gutter in order to accomplish their in-game goals should be held equally accountable for their violations of the EULA. The COMMUNITY did NOTHING. you clearly did not even read my post before throwing your ignorant opinion around. This is exactly the point i was trying to make. Mittani may have ****** up, and CCP will deal with that. However, that doesnt give you the right to make more wrongs by deliberately straining CCP's business relationships in order to serve your own goals. RougeOperator wrote:If not him what about the next person? How do you measure if a person is or is not prone to suicide? Good question. The answer is you shouldn't have to. But thats just my opinion.
Let me give you another example. Say i blow up a poor miner's Orca with every belonging he had in its cargo. What if he goes and commits suicide over that without me having to say anything? My actions directly resulted in his suicide. Am i guilty?
And again, this is entirely missing my point. If mittani did something wrong or not, is not what this thread is about. Thats what the other 500 threads are about.
My question to you is this. Does what Mittani said: give YOU the right to take the victim and shove him up on stage and make an example out of him? give YOU the right to abuse CCP's business relationships in order to provoke your desired outcome?
